The monastery is under attack again, but the Tribe isn’t behind it…this time. As Jagger fights to keep his family and the monks of St. Cath’s safe, he’s suddenly seeing things that seem beyond the possible – men with golden lights glittering around them, creepy creatures of all shapes and sizes, blue lights shooting up toward the sky. Is he going crazy? No, he’s touched the Judgment Stone – a fragment of the original Ten Commandments that Moses broke when he found the Israelites worshipping the golden calf. And now the Clan, a group of Immortals even more evil than the Tribe, is out to get the Stone and use it to “grieve God.” While Jagger and Owen are chasing the Clan, the Tribe arrives at St. Cath’s to kidnap Beth. Jagger has to choose – save the world or his family…

From page one this book doesn’t stop. Full of action, excitement, and twists, The Judgment Stone is exquisitely written. I was immediately sucked into the story and found it harder to put down with each page I turned. In the average book series, the first novel is the best and the others seem to fade with each successive book. Yet Book Two of the Immortal Files was even better than Book One. Robert Liparulo’s just hitting his stride with this series and I, for one, can’t wait for the next book!

I received a free copy of this book from the BookSneeze Blogger Review program. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my very own!
