I have been waiting in line in my family to read this book for a long time. Then a friend told me she stayed up till the wee hours of the morning, because she just couldn’t go to sleep without finishing the book (which is a BIG deal for her), so I knew I had to put everything else down and check it out. Let me tell you, it was worth the wait!
Peretti’s writing is, as always, brilliant. He sucks you in right away and doesn’t let you go. It reminded me of a Michael Crichton novel (without all the science and math diagrams!). Every twist, every turn, pulls you deeper into the illusion, until you’re desperate to know what is really going on and how it will all end.
And if you’re the type of person who reads the end of the book first to see if you’ll like it, don’t do that with this one. Trust me, you’ll like the book (you might even love it), and knowing the end before you read the rest will take all the tension and excitement out of the story.
I highly recommend Frank Peretti’s Illusion. Grab a copy and buckle in for a fabulous ride.
